Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
Chapter 13 Bankruptcy is often known as a "wage earner's plan." This type of bankruptcy works as a structured payment plan allowing you to pay off unpaid debts. It does not remove or cancel out your debts. In most cases, you will have three to five years to complete making all payments to debtors. This will be determined upon your income amount. Once the balance is paid, your debt is removed. However, you will still be responsible for payment of child support, spousal support, taxes, and other fines or obligations.
